Recommended tools for social media engagement

From your examinations and investigations choose two social media applications/tools would you recommend as being of the most benefit to libraries. Give detailed reasons why you recommend these two tools?

I think the two social applications/tools that would benefit library are Facebook and Instagram. I believe these are beneficial because they are two very popular social media outlets. By having accounts with them the library can reach a broader range of people and also be seen by more people.

Facebook is such a big platform and so many people can use it and access it that if a library uses it  more people can relate and find out more info. Facebook will give notifications and updates about the library page. You can tag a friend on a post from the library Facebook page and that instantly creates more exposure.

Instagram is another social media that has gained more and more momentum through the years. People can make a living through it. Through it a library can appeal to younger generations and post quirky photos and draw new people in with interesting facts and events.

The more a library commits to social media the more exposure it will gain thus having more people visit and keep libraries alive in the world.
